JOB DESCRIPTION Are you an experienced, team-oriented hospitality professional with practical experience in both front office and housekeeping management? We have a wonderful opportunity for an accommodation specialist who brings out the best in their team and leads from the front.
The Grand Old Dame of Hobart, Hadley's Orient Hotel, brimming with art, history, culture and stories going back 190 years, is now seeking applications for a dynamic Accommodation Manager. Reporting to our Hotel Manager, you will be at the heart of our efforts to create exceptional guest experiences through delivering high quality customer service, cost effective resource allocation and leveraging innovative technologies.
About the role Lead and support all aspects of Front Office and Housekeeping operations to achieve our financial objectives, guest experience aspirations and the advancement of our people.Foster a positive culture by setting clear expectations and respectfully driving accountability.Diligently implement, champion and apply our organisational policies and procedures.Drive the optimisation of hotel management technology, such as Infor HMS, Infor SCS, Optii Keeper and SwiftPOS.Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets through managing our approach to internal and regulatory obligations.What we need from you Three years of experience in Front Office and/or Housekeeping with at least two years in a Supervisory role.Tertiary qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.A willingness to spend time on the front line with your teams.A flair for inclusive leadership, with refined people skills and a strong interest in developing your team members.A demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.Excellent interpersonal and written skills.A nous for numbers and ability to contribute strongly to profits.Able to work on-shift and weekends regularly.Sound understanding of fire evacuation and workplace safety procedures.Experience in driving revenue generation via reception will be considered advantageous.
