We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead the Mental Health Access & Referrals team at this Community Health Service. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the Mental Health Services and Alcohol and Other Drugs Services, which are the entry point for consumers, are accessible and effective for individuals in the community. This is a fixed term 12-month contract, and it is a hybrid role with the expectation of 3 days a week on site.
Key Responsibilities: Lead in an access and referral or navigation role in the mental health and community service sectors. Manage a team dedicated to facilitating referrals and ensuring smooth operations. Oversee the Head to Health helpline and ensure referrals are appropriately managed. Develop and implement effective governance and risk management strategies. Ensure robust systems and processes are in place for timely and accurate reporting. Contribute to clinical governance and service development, including accreditation preparation and evaluation. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. Engage with key stakeholders to promote a shared understanding of the stepped care model. Drive quality improvement and ensure compliance with relevant standards. You will be our Ideal Candidate if you have: Tertiary qualifications and current registration in a relevant field – Psychology, Social work, mental health nursing, or occupational therapy and relevant clinical experience. Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within the mental health sector. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to lead by example and manage staff effectively.
