Job Purpose The Access Engineer is to provide Engineering support and technical review capability to the Third Party Team to help them achieve their objective of facilitating third party access to the CRN Network and Properties. The position provides a first point of review and ensures compliance of designs against CRN Standards, and liaises with applicants and internal stakeholders such as Principal Engineers to resolve issues and non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities Review technical content of third party works applications, development applications and property leases for compliance against technical standards and make recommendations to the relevant Principal Engineers and Infrastructure representatives. Provide advice and input to the third party works officers for their approval briefs and license drafts. Ensure the integrity of the CRN Network and Properties by ensuring impacts from third party works are minimised and based on technically sound engineering. Work with applicants, designers, utilities and internal stakeholders to resolve non-compliances against standards and other technical issues. Identification and remediation of all potential OH&S risks. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering Discipline required (Civil, Environmental, Transport, Public Works, or Town Planning preferred).
3-5 years experience working for a Council, Utility, or Railway network in a design, asset management or development/access role.
