About Your Role The role of the Aboriginal Palliative Care Senior Support Officer is to:- support the MLHD Specialist Palliative Care Service to ensure holisitc and culturally appropriate palliative and end of life care for Aboriginal clients and the community by working collaboratively with clinicians, community based service providers patients and families work with the palliative care services & ensure culturally appropriate care plans, informed decision making regarding palliative and end of life care and work co-operatively within a multidisciplinary team in order to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to the provision of care to the Aboriginal community understand local Aboriginal communities and engage these communities to contribute towards the development, delivery and evaluation of culturally appropriate plans and strategies that provide positive Palliaitve and end of life care outcomes.
