Division Name: Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery Position No: Pool Ref 36210 Closing Date: 2024-10-22 5:00 PM Location: East Perth Job Type: Fixed Term - Full Time About the role The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking an Aboriginal Engagement Officer to coordinate Aboriginal Engagement services that support the planning and delivery of OMTID transport infrastructure projects.
This role also involves contributing to corporate procurement, employment, and project communications activities.
In this role, you will coordinate, implement and develop strategies to improve Aboriginal engagement outcomes for the PTA.
You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage engagement activities with Aboriginal businesses and employment communities.
Your responsibilities include assisting contractors in understanding and developing their Aboriginal Engagement and Participation Plans (AEPP), monitoring their implementation and compliance, and providing performance data for management action.
Additionally, you will facilitate Cultural Awareness Training to meet Noongar Cultural Recognition and Training.
About You! To excel in this role, you should possess: Possession of a relevant qualification or experience in stakeholder and community engagement, employment, and business development.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the application of relevant policies, regulations, and legislation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, provide specialist advice, and effectively negotiate and resolve complex issues with a variety of stakeholders.
Proven ability to research and analyse trends, deliver sound business solutions, and manage projects within agreed timeframes.

There is currently one full time, fixed term appointment until 30 October 2029 with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency available for immediate start.
