Support rehabilitation of clients while engaging with the Aboriginal Community. Play a critical role in helping support community safety. Manage a case load with a majority of Aboriginal individuals with a range of order requirements. Conduct risk assessments, prepare case plans, provide interventions, and address the underlying causes of offending. Develop and implement cultural support plans for Aboriginal clients. Work with Aboriginal justice networks to identify appropriate support.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Aboriginal Community. An understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community and the issues impacting on it. An understanding of effective case management practices. An understanding of modelling pro-social behaviours. Assertiveness and confidence in dealing with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
