This is a permanent full-time position commencing January 2025.
Albany Residential College is situated on Thomas Street, Mt Clarence, in a safe and secure setting within walking distance to Albany Senior High School. We cater for students enrolled at Albany Senior High School, Bethel Christian College, North Albany Senior High School, Australian Christian College and St Joseph's Catholic College.
Albany, is a picturesque port city located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Albany is known for its stunning natural landscape including beautiful beaches, rugged coastline and national parks.
Albany is a family friendly community with a very large selection of sports, arts and culture options. Albany also boasts several primary schools, eight high schools and a UWA campus. There is a very busy TAFE located in Albany.
The Role
The Aboriginal Boarding Supervisor supports and reinforces appropriate values and behaviours in students, particularly Aboriginal students whilst fulfilling an appropriate duty of care in the creation of a positive, happy and culturally safe boarding environment and service for students and staff. The successful applicant will respect and embrace diversity within the student population whilst providing, and supervising, opportunities that enrich students' personal and social development, of our Aboriginal students.
The successful applicant will plan and implement a wide range of suitable activities for all students to enjoy, ensuring students receive appropriate care to maintain health and wellbeing, whilst undertaking regular, positive communication and liaison with colleagues, parents/guardians, school staff, other professionals and members of the local community in support of the development and wellbeing of students, particularly Aboriginal students.
Please note a part-time job arrangement may be considered for this position.
