(pro rata) plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits Temporary Part-Time, working 22.5 hours per week, up to 30 June 2025 About the Role: The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist / Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Northern Community Mental Health team.
Community-based mental health plays a vital role in Australia's healthcare system.
With 1 in 5 people experiencing a mental illness in any given year, the demand for mental health support continues to rise.
Various socioeconomic factors, such as access to services, living conditions and employment status, can influence someone's mental health.
This impact is not limited to the individual but extends to their families and caregivers.
As such, the role of community mental health is to provide all affected individuals with the support they need.
In this role you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting independence, fostering personal growth, and facilitating meaningful engagement in daily activities.
As an Occupational Therapist you will provide therapeutic engagement and coordination of care to the range of people receiving community-based mental health services.
You will be comfortable working as a member interdisciplinary team, spending time out and about with consumers living in the community.
You will also be ready to be part of nurturing the Community Mental Health growth culture, built around developing a values-based workforce, facilitating excellence in care, and providing transparent accountability.
You will work in partnership with the other team members within an aspirational organisational change process.

The community team Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive assessments and interventions for consumers who are experiencing concerns regarding occupational performance.
Occupational Therapy adopts a sensory modulation approach to offer insight into an individual's level of functioning and provide non-pharmacological recommendations for reducing distress, maximising functioning, and enhancing meaningful engagement.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
