Sirva is now seeking QHSE Coordinator to support our international clients in AU NZ.
This role requires flexibility to shift times and offers a hybrid working model with work from home available.
Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring our businesses operating in the AUNZ region comply with quality, health & safety and environmental laws, by developing and maintaining the QHSE management system.
The role will manage all activities required to meet these requirements, including auditing procedures and assisting in the development and implementation of the QHSE program and reporting on the performance of the program.
Functions and Responsibilities
Maintain company management systems for the region, including document creation, version control, internal and external audits and communication to business. Identify areas of the business where there is a risk of non-compliance and in conjunction with key stakeholders, recommend the compliance plan or programs to reduce the risk. Manage and conduct where required internal audits to ensure compliance to company and legislated standards including Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental standards. Organize, facilitate and prepare external audits and be the point of contact for all relevant external stakeholders, including certifying bodies in the region. Prepare input for Management Review for senior executive team. Coordinate the internal investigation of compliance issues and maintain documentation of such investigations and if necessary, recommend procedural or process changes based on findings of investigation. Liaise with key stakeholders regarding legislative changes and ensure Legal Compliance Registers reflect these requirements and that we comply. Recommend compliance training to relevant key stakeholders, if identified during audits, reviews, legislative changes or non-conformities to ensure compliance to company procedures and any relevant legislation. Coordinate with relevant managers to ensure Business Continuity Plans for AUNZ businesses are in place to limit risks and are periodically reviewed. Working with the Manager Risk & Compliance APAC & Europe coordinate the Risk & Compliance Committee for APAC to ensure the Risk Management process is implemented within the region. Use and promote the non-conformances in the Opportunity for Improvement Log for analysis of root causes, lessons learned and corrective / preventive actions. Ensure compliance with local law and regulations and applicable external standards (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 and local standards) always. Assist where required with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives determined by management as part of our commitment to sustainability. Review and report cost savings from all opportunities relating to our QHSE program including training, auditing by certifying bodies and other external services. Report breaches of compliance or regulatory standards to relevant agencies, direct manager and senior management as required and file any supporting documentation. Manage and monitor the internal audit program covering, but not limited to FIDI, FAIM, Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental certifications to ensure adherence to relevant standards. Ensure Risk & Compliance Register and Legal Compliance Register for the AUNZ regions are up to date and liaise with the relevant business leaders of the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risk that might affect their department and ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks. Education/Certification Requirements
Implementing & Maintaining QHSE Management Systems including ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001. Certificate - Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems. Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills. Autonomous and good time management. Solid knowledge of all applicable Quality, Health and Safety & Environmental standards and laws. Able to work under pressure with positive working attitude and strong sense of responsibility. Good understanding of organization structure.
