A growing information technology company looking for a skilled individual for the role of IT Support Technician. The main purpose of this position will be to provide support for our customer's IT infrastructure including, PCs, servers, routers, switches, servers, wireless access points, and video surveillance, along with providing recommendations for new technologies to improve their infrastructure.
We are looking for someone with a broad knowledge and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate would be someone that is self-motivated, task oriented, ability to multitask and can work efficiently on their own. A successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other technical support specialists.
Responsibilities: Ability and desire to work with different types of technology and equipmentAbility to maintain and manage existing infrastructures, along with diagnosing and correcting problems with third-party hardware/software vendorsImplementation and deployment of new servers, routers, switches, wireless access points, workstations, printers, and other technologiesProviding help desk support and onsite technical assistance to existing customersAbility to prepare documentation, diagrams and recommendationsKnowledge of Information Technology concepts and best practicesAssist sales team by determining the best solution for the customerSkills/Must have: Education: A High School Diploma is required.
