2025 TPPP Registered Nurses EFNLHN – Multiple SitesTemporary Part Time (64 hours per fortnight over a 7 day roster, up to 23 February 2026)Multiple sites and opportunities availableSA Health's Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP) is a great way to kickstart your nursing career, bridging the gap between University training and clinical practice. Enjoy ongoing support and guidance with the opportunity to develop your skills and build confidence throughout this exciting program.The transition program is a twelve-month evidence-based initiative, developed by rural nurses and midwives and informed by the practical experience of our rural and regional workforce.Participants in the EFNLHN TPPP can expect a program that offers support and opportunities in developing nursing practice of the highest quality. The program operates across the region, and all participants are offered similar opportunities.This program is dedicated to:Providing support to newly graduated transitioning nurses and midwives across EFNLHNRecognising the unique nature of working regionally and rurallyFocusing on the skill development relevant to these areas of nursing and midwiferyUsing an evidence-based curriculum to further develop a strong and high-quality nursing and midwifery workforceOffering unique opportunities for TPPPs specific to the EFNLHN.We have TPPP opportunities at the following sites:WudinnaCleveTumby BayPort LincolnCumminsCowellTo apply for TPPP, registered nurses must meet the following criteria at the time of application:Complete your nursing studies between January 2024 and February 2025 that will lead to initial registration as a RN with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)Complete no more than 456 hours (3 months full time equivalent) of paid experience as a RN in any setting within Australia/New ZealandHours of paid experience completed outside of Australia/New Zealand are not counted if the applicant is required to retrain in Australia to obtain Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) registration.Complete no more than 3 months of a graduate nurse program (or equivalent) previously in any setting and in any country.Apply outside the 'employment exclusion period' after taking a Targeted Voluntary Separation Package (TVSP) from the SA Government.The RegionThe Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) covers almost 340,000 square kilometres of spectacular South Australia, supporting about 40,000 people living around Eyre Peninsula and the Far North of the state.With its ancient outback landscapes and culture, boutique vineyards, renowned oyster farms and Australia's best-kept-secret surf coast, the Eyre Peninsula and Far North offers a lifestyle that will inspire and energise you.
