Paediatrics take inpatient referrals and also provide a rapid review outpatient service closely linked with the Emergency department. The outpatient service is run in consultation with the allied health team, consisting of Speech / OT/ Dietetics etc. The service offers comprehensive, specialist assessment and management for a range of conditions including neonatology, developmental and general paediatric medicine. This role meets rural requirements for advanced training and gives the candidate an opportunity to experience regional paediatrics, including outreach clinics at Njernda to work with the local indigenous community.
