What will you be doing?
Our practice in Australia offers clients an unparalleled combination of energy market sector expertise, as well as commercial insight. We advise organisations at the heart of energy sector decarbonisation and transition, providing economic, commercial, and strategic consulting to energy companies, financial institutions, governments, and regulators.
Specific roles will vary and typically could include elements of research, business or market analysis, operating model innovation, process design and systems delivery. You will typically be working in collaboration with client and/or Baringa team members and will be required to be able to plan and execute your own work with supervision. As an intern your role will require you to be honest, flexible, adaptable, and passionate about clients' businesses.
So, what are we looking for?
Undergraduate students currently in their penultimate year at university with a strong academic background. We are looking for candidates studying engineering, finance, economics or similar, to join our growing team in Sydney.
Some professional experience in roles that demonstrate the ability to take ownership and deliver results in challenging environments (often client facing), or similar experience in non-professional roles (e.g. positions in university clubs and societies)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, especially those demonstrated through business process analysis, IT systems delivery or economic modelling.
An understanding of key drivers of change in the energy sector.
