Position Summary The 2IC is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and Section Leads with the day-to-day running of the store. You will be responsible for assisting with stock takes, stock control, ensuring specials are being promoted, and that products are well merchandised, as well as assisting where required in all other departments.
Key Responsibilities: The receiving and preparation for sale and/or display of goods in store including fruit & veg, grocery, or perishables.The pre-packing, packing, weighing, assembling, pricing, or preparing of goods or provisions for sale.The display, shelf-filling, replenishing, or any other method of exposure or presentation for sale of goods.Being a good all-round support willing to learn.Providing excellent customer service.Demonstrating great communication skills.Ability to lead and direct teams and offer support to all departments.The provision of information, advice, and assistance to customers.Supervision of staff when required.Inventory/Stock control.Skills/Qualifications: Previous experience as a more senior member of staff within a retail environment.May include a Section Lead who runs a section and is responsible for stock take and stock control.Can-do attitude.Leads by example.Willingness to take on any task that is required.Please keep reading...
