2/1 Village Manager & Relief Village Manager (with Chef Qualifications)We are looking for experienced Village Managers and Relief Village Manager with chef qualifications to manage daily operations for up to 150 – 200 residents and ensure Client's satisfaction at our Village and Mine site operations. These roles will best suit people with experience in mine site management, who are team players with natural "hands-on" leadership skills.Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the overall Catering operations including leading and motivating our team of Utilities and Chefs to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service at all times.Positions available:FIFO from Perth across WA locations.2/1 rosterIt is essential to have Chef qualifications and experience.The PersonThe successful candidate will have:Experience in site management positions preferably within the resources, services, hospitality or facilities management sectorChef qualifications and past experienceCommitment to promote a safe working environment complying to HSE and HR legislationCommitment to ensuring all licensed areas of the site are compliant with relevant legislation, licensing laws and contractual requirementsFriendly and "hands-on" leadership and management approach with the ability to "teach not tell" when supporting your teamAbility to maintain composure and communicate with customers and co-workers in a polite and professional mannerProven people management and conflict resolution skillsStrong problem solving skills with outside-the-box thinkingExcellent time management and organisational skillsStrong financial and analytical skillsExcellent written and communication skillsResponsible and are accountable for your results – taking full personal ownership of the roleStrong focus on customer service excellenceAvailable for FIFO from PerthKey responsibilities include:In the event where a chef is sick or does not arrive on site, you may be responsible to cover a shift as Chef which includes: preparing, cooking, and presenting meals, baking of breads and cooking pastries, preparing crib meals, including salads and meats.In the absence of the Village Manager from site, continue to deliver high quality catering service aligned with the Company's policies, procedures and standards by overseeing and managing:Village Utility staff (Kitchen, Maintenance and Housekeeping)Kitchen and Food Safety standardsRMS computerized accommodation booking systemRetail services and business transactionsFinancial reporting (including forecasting, budgets, cost control and monthly billing reporting to Head Office)Housekeeping cleaning proceduresStock inventory and waste managementMaintenance, grounds and pest servicesDaily reporting on Pre-start meetingsEffectively manage and support of staff on-site closely with the Operations Manager including selection of staff, rostering, training and performance managementLiaise and maintain strong rapport with Operations Manager and the Head Office on the status of the Village operations and other departmentsMaintain exceptional relationship with our client and local communityTo be successful, you will have:Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systemsMinimum of 1 year industry/trade experience as a Village ManagerPast Chef experience within the mining industry and held Trade Certificate in Commercial CookeryAustralian Citizenship, or full Australian working rightsA valid WA C-Class (Manual) Drivers License is a mustAble to obtain a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months of applying)Able to pass a medical and drug screenFood Safety / HACCP knowledge and certificationResponsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)Ability to obtain a WA Approved Manager's licenceComfortable with data and regular reportingPassionate about safety and providing an enjoyable working environment for all employees.White CardAbility to complete manual handling tasks with a keen safety awareness.Knowledge using RMS software (highly regarded)Forklift Licence (highly regarded)Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (highly regarded)A valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011- Provide First Aid) within 3 years4WD CertificateAbout Iconic CateringProudly Western Australian owned, Iconic Catering is an experienced provider of professional mine site catering and village management services.Iconic Catering is committed to creating diverse teams, we strongly encourage Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to apply.If you feel you have all the skills, experience, attributes and you are ready to take on a challenge then please apply now!
