We are urgently seeking your administration, client service and finance skills (knowledge of general ledger, as well as either accounts payable or receivable experience) for an upcoming temporary opportunity that has become available with a Queensland Government Department in Brisbane CBD.
Working within a finance team, this role will involve:
Engaging with clients and other internal/external stakeholders (via telephone and email) Maintaining accurate client records Disbursement of payments and allocations (and investigating as required) Data entry of financial information (high volume) Navigating multiple financial and client software/systems Spreadsheeting (maintaining spreadsheets, including basic formulas and functions) Email inbox management (including actioning and responding to emails) General administrative support This role requires high attention to detail, together with problem-solving skills and a team player approach, as well as:
Previous accounts payable or accounts receivable processing experience with a knowledge of general ledger and proven skills maintaining accurate client records and processing high volumes of work with accuracy. Confidence navigating multiple software systems including intermediate skills in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook. Experience using finance systems (SAP experience desirable but not required). Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment or autonomously. Well developed written and verbal communication skills. Availability to work in the office (Brisbane CBD) Monday to Friday. Due to the nature and responsibilities of this position, consent to a national criminal history check will be required prior to any offer of employment being made (and any record of disclosable court outcomes or pending charges will be considered based on relevance to the position being applied for). Based on current business needs, we anticipate that this temporary assignment will be required through to 24/12/2024 (with a high possibility of extension).
The casual hourly rate is $48.12 (plus super) and we are ideally seeking availability to commence with less than one weeks' notice.
