Job Description: The 1:1 Behavioral Support Teaching Assistant provides dedicated support to a student with specific behavioural needs, promoting positive behaviour, enhancing learning, and facilitating social interactions in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities as a 1:1 Behavioral Support Teaching Assistant: Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural and educational needs. Assist with task comprehension and engagement during lessons. Implement behaviour management strategies from the Individual Education Plan (IEP). Monitor and record behaviour, providing feedback to staff. Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans. Support social skills development and positive peer interactions. Offer emotional support and promote self-regulation. Maintain records of progress and behaviour incidents. Participate in training for behaviour management and special educational needs. Requirements: Experience working with children with special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
