We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Head Chef to join our team and lead our kitchen operations at The Vineyard. In the heart of North-Western Sydney, The Vineyard is the place to come together. Our newly built, multi-million-dollar hospitality precinct boasts an outstanding kitchen which supports our bistro and café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days per week.

About the role:
We are looking for an outstanding, energetic, passionate and experienced Head Chef to join our high performing team. You will be leading an outstanding kitchen team of 40, supporting them to deliver 6000+ covers per week of consistently high quality meals.
Responsibilities:
Kitchen Management: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation. Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and maintains a clean and organized workspace. Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards to ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets our high-quality standards. Conduct regular tastings and quality checks. Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth. Cost Management: Manage food and labour costs to maximize profitability while maintaining food quality and portion control. Food Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices. Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure high-quality ingredients and favourable pricing. About You:
The ideal candidate will bring their culinary expertise, leadership skills, and passion for food to our kitchen, driving our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences through food to our customers.
Minimum 3 years Head Chef experience in a similar fast-paced environment which produces high volume food. Demonstrated ability to lead your team through a smooth, organized service. Managing financial budgets including food and labour costs. Passionate about delivering consistently high-quality food in a timely manner. Food safety supervisor's certification. Ability to work unrestricted in Australia. Demonstrated experience taking accountability of kitchen financials, including ordering, labour, and food costs, including experience with Cooking the Books. Ability and willingness to collaborate with the General Manager and Group Head Chef to align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the hotel.
