With sites currently in construction and several more in the planning stages, we are expanding our capabilities to meet the growing demand for remote renewable energy solutions.About the RoleReporting directly to the Lead Mechanical Designer, this full-time Civil Designer role is responsible for developing conceptual and formal designs and drawings for all aspects of civil design related to Zenith power station construction projects.What you will be doing:Collaborating and assisting designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective design plans throughout the project lifecycle.Designing and drafting earthworks and concrete plans for reinforcing steel (rebar) specifications.Conducting data analysis to identify project requirements and opportunities.Collaborating with mechanical and electrical design teams to create exceptional civil design solutions.Providing expertise to the construction team by reviewing external consultant drawings for the power station, which include wind, solar, and battery storage systems.Building strong relationships with external consultants and vendors to shape our design briefs effectively.Actively supporting engineering and project teams in creating and maintaining essential technical documentation.Contributing to promoting a culture of continuous system improvement!What We're Looking For:Extensive experience using AutoCAD applications in commercial and heavy industry environments.Proficiency in civil earthwork, structural concrete design and drafting, and material quantity modeling.Strong skills in structural concrete drafting, including rebar and cast-in-place design.Strong communication skills with the ability to convey knowledge to other disciplines or sites.Ability to collaborate effectively with others and develop practical solutions to challenges.Knowledge of and proficiency in civil engineering codes, construction standards, specifications, procedures, and techniques.Experience in concrete strength design and concrete mix design review.Experience in designing and drafting for power stations or plants.Additional experience in structural and piping design and drafting is a plus.Familiarity with other Autodesk applications and SolidWorks drafting packages in a commercial setting.What we offer:Professional development opportunities and support for ongoing learning.Flexible work arrangements and a focus on work-life balance.5 / 2 roster with occasional site visits.A supportive and collaborative work environment with a strong commitment to safety and sustainability.Ready for your next challenge?We encourage applications from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, youth, LGBTQIA+, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people with a disability.Applicants who require adjustments within the recruitment process can contact us.If this job describes your knowledge, skills, and experience, please click on the "Apply" icon and submit a resume detailing your skills and experience and a cover letter outlining why you are interested in the role.Join the team delivering sustainable energy solutions across Australia and make a difference.
