About the Role
Reporting directly to the Lead Mechanical Designer , this full-time Civil Designer role is responsible for developing conceptual and formal designs and drawings for all aspects of civil design related to Zenith power station construction projects.
What you will be doing.
Collaborating and assisting designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective design plans throughout the project lifecycle. Design and draft earthworks and concrete plans for reinforcing steel (rebar) specifications. Conduct data analysis to identify project requirements and opportunities. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical design teams to create exceptional civil design solutions. Provide your expertise to the construction team by reviewing external consultant drawings for the power station, which include wind, solar, and battery storage systems. Build strong relationships with external consultants and vendors to shape our design briefs effectively. Actively support engineering and project teams in creating and maintaining essential technical documentation. Contribute to promoting a culture of continuous system improvement! What We're Looking For
Extensive experience using AutoCAD applications in commercial and heavy industry environments. Proficiency in civil earthwork, structural concrete design and drafting, and material quantity modeling. Strong skills in structural concrete drafting, including rebar and cast-in-place design. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey knowledge to other disciplines or sites. Collaborate effectively with others and develop practical solutions to challenges. Knowledge of and proficiency in civil engineering codes, construction standards, specifications, procedures, and techniques. Experienced in concrete strength design and concrete mix design review. Experience in designing and drafting for power stations or plants. Additional experience in structural and piping design and drafting is a plus. Familiarity with other Autodesk applications and SolidWorks drafting packages in a commercial setting. What we offer
