Even if you only meet some of the criteria, we'd love to hear from you.About the opportunity:Youth residential recovery (YRR) services provide voluntary residential recovery-based support to young people 16-25 years of age experiencing mental health challenges. The aim of the YRR is to support young people to achieve their recovery goals through one-on-one collaboration and participation in program activities for up to 12 months. These may include:Learning or relearning skills and gaining the confidence required for independent livingBuilding capacity to better manage their mental healthDeveloping social relationships, social connections, recreation, physical health, education, vocational training, employment and housing, and other needsAs an integral member of the Youth Residential Recovery team, you will draw upon your knowledge and work experience to support young people to develop skills and confidence to improve their well-being and connections within the community. You will utilise outcome measures to work collaboratively with participants to identify goals and plans for the future, as well as delivering program activities developed to support wellbeing and build capacity. You will be passionate about working with young people and able to provide an understanding, flexible, and creative approach.Under the support and direction of the Team Leader, this role forms part of the Barwon team and works with other key stakeholders in the ongoing development and effective implementation of regional and program plans.Availability:May be required to work outside of these hours to attend team meetings/training, as well as some public holidays in accordance with roster.You will also need:Diploma or above in the field of study, Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, AoD and/or experience in a similar related field.Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake some travel.Satisfactory Police Records Check.Satisfactory Working with Children Check.Right to Work within Australia.NDIS Module certificate.About UsWellways connects people, strengthens families, and transforms communities for individuals of all ages experiencing disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing.
