This centre represents our commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people in the community, and we're searching for an exceptional leader to bring this vision to life.
We are seeking a Centre Manager to lead, develop, implement, oversee, and manage the clinical and administrative operations, and the future growth and development of headspace Gawler.
The Centre Manager will be a highly motivated and capable individual who facilitates excellence in integrated, holistic health and social care, youth participation, and family-centred practice. This role focuses on improving outcomes for young people, their families/carers/kin, and the wider community.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Lead a co-design process with youth in the development of a new headspace centre. Lead a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians, allied health workers, administrative support staff and consortium partners, providing services for young people aged 12-25 years for high-quality youth centred supports for early intervention. Ensure all aspects of the headspace centre service model are implemented and maintained, which includes the core components of primary health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and social inclusion/education/training, focusing on the Family and Friends aspect of the model and the key enabling components. Degree level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or other related health discipline. Demonstrated experience at effectively leading and reporting on complex planning and service development environments. Demonstrated experience in managing and developing operational systems for a health or community services organisation, including effectively planning and allocating resources in order to maximise operational efficiency and meet funding deliverables. Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of staff and team performance including recruitment, staff orientation, supervision, performance reviews, staff disciplinary action, performance development and team building. Experience in direct service provision to young people and providing youth friendly, family focused mental health services or programs, including being able to respond effectively to crisis and high-risk situations. Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated capacity to effectively engage in multidisciplinary and/or cross sector initiatives and partnerships with a wide range of professionals, organisations and stakeholders. Other Requirements Successful applicants will also need to hold a 'C' class Open driver licence, State Working with Children Check and hold, or be eligible to apply for, a Licensed Care Suitability Check issued by the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
