We currently have an opportunity for a passionate individual to join our team as Youth Workshop Facilitator – Fixed Term 12 months within our Transition to Work contract.
There is possibility of extension to this fixed term contract!
The Role - A Day in the Life of a Youth Workshop Facilitator As a Youth Workshop Facilitator, you will be responsible for providing intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work readiness of young people and to help them into work or education.
This role's focus is to develop and facilitate Transition to Work activities and resources to provide facilitated group workshops to assist participants in reaching their employment and training goals.
Your Key Responsibilities will include; Develop and facilitate group Transition to Work activities and related resources Develop, maintain, update, and enhance a suite of activities and online facilities for participants Create an environment of trust, where participants feel connected, unique and respected and provide opportunity for youth input into services delivered Train, mentor and coach participants in group programs, including motivational workshops, job search and work readiness programs, industry/employer information sessions, youth-led projects, life skills workshops Develop and deliver sufficient group activities to support a highly individualised program (25-hrs per week participation) for each participant.
Support as required the identification and/or establishment of other activities making up the service mix for participants such as accredited training and engagement with external programs – working with Youth Advisors, Workforce Australia, and RTO staff Working with TtW Recruitment Advisors, Youth Advisors and Youth Engagement Advisors, facilitate connections between young people and employers, educational institutions and community organisations to achieve employment, education, training and work experience placements Criteria for Success Demonstrated experience in working with youth to achieve employment and education outcomes Demonstrated experience in workshop facilitation and administration Highly developed intrapersonal, liaison assessment and negotiation skills Demonstrated ability to connect with a diverse range of people Passionate about creating new employment opportunities for young people Outcome focussed with a commitment and capacity to achieve genuine employment and training outcomes for clients against KPI's A current, clear National Police Check A current Working With Children Check / QLD Blue Card Drivers licence Why work for ETC We pride ourselves on offering a positive work culture and environment for employees to achieve their best.
