The Team Member role is responsible for engaging and supporting Children and Young People with challenging, maladaptive behaviours to achieve social, educational, cultural, and emotional goals.
As a Team Member, you will also be responsible for the day-to-day care of our Young People.
Our goal is to teach Young People new coping strategies and pro-social behaviours to transition them to a forever home.

As a Team Member, you would work within a tight-knit team to create a positive and safe home environment and will need to have the ability to build a genuine connection with our Young People, committed to supporting our Young People engage safely in the community in activities and building social networks.
You will support trauma pain-based behaviours, perform daily tasks, and complete all mandatory reporting, sharing the same focus-driven outcomes by following the organisation's policies and procedures.
Daily tasks may consist of:Hands-on support in teaching life skills to our Young People; cooking, cleaning, budgeting, homework, personal care, booking and attending appointments, sport, schoolingDevelop support plans including positive behaviour plans and progress reportsAssess and promote our Young People's developmentLiaise and report to Stakeholders to provide information, assist with plans and ensure outcomesDevelop activity plans for the Young Person and support community engagementSafely support behaviours using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Skills and Experiences: Essential requirementsCurrent Australian Drivers Licence (must be open or P2)Be able to prioritise and work under pressure to specific timeframes and targetsAvailability for shift work during the week and weekends including sleepovers as rosteredHave the ability and flexibility to meet the needs of the organisationObtained minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent, or working towardsApproved Licensed Care Service (LSC) check through the department, or willingness to obtainCurrent Blue Card, or willingness to obtainCurrent First-Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtainOutstanding written and verbal communication skills including documentation, organisational and reportingHigh-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteProvide two recent professional references Desirable attributesUnderstanding of trauma-informed practicePrevious Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trainingCompleted Hope & Healing modulesExperience working directly with children and their families in a support capacityCurrent Licensed Care Service (LCS) check through The DepartmentFlexible, adaptive, and open to learning How to apply To apply for this role click apply now and follow the links which will redirect you to our website platform.
