Selection CriteriaKSC 1: Highly developed skills when working with primary and secondary-aged children.
KSC 2: Knowledge of trauma symptomology and treatment, child/adolescent development, family systems, and abuse/neglect.
KSC 3: Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
KSC 4: Experience in developing and implementing programs that foster resilience in children and young people.
KSC 5: Experience in facilitating group programs.
RoleThe Youth Worker (0.6 EFT) at Doveton College supports students aged between Prep and Year 9 with targeted therapeutic goals to assist in their educational engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
Group work facilitation: Organize and facilitate group activities to promote personal growth among youth.Youth engagement: Build trusting relationships with youth participants and provide individualized, goal-focused care.Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance and collaborate with other staff to address the diverse needs of participants.Documentation and Reporting: Complete case notes, prepare reports, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience, and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
