In early 2023 selectability extended its pre-existing support for children in the child protection system who need residential care. You will bring a genuine passion and commitment to make a difference in the life of children and young people.   Youth Workers perform a rewarding role filled with variety! No two days are the same as you support children and young people to work towards their own, unique goals.?Children and young people may come with high to complex needs, and selectability aspires to promote consistent and stable teams to support the recovery of our young people.  You will be the person who works with children and young people to build their daily life skills and which promotes safe attachment and relationships. You will build rapport and relationships with children and young people and act as a role model in developing their independence and daily skills. You will also provide transport to and from activities. It could be anything from shopping, attending social events and appointments … to name a few activities!?  Working at selectability is more than just a job – it's a career. No industry experience is necessary however, a positive outlook, ability to work towards completing the required qualification, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of regional Queenslanders is a must.  About You To be successful you must:?  minimum or equivalent of a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention for Residential Care (or a willingness to obtain prior to selectability certification) possess the certification in Hope and Healing for residential care or ability to obtain have a positive attitude?  possess clear and effective communication skills?  demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management?  experience working in a team environment?  exhibit an ability to problem solve?  be able to follow policies and procedures at all times?  be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals  flexible to work across a 24/7 roster  You will also need:  a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence?  a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle First Aid and CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain)  a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)  a current yellow card exemption or a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)  NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au to access this free module). at completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to ******  About the offer We offer a range of benefits including: Casual hourly rate of $45.00 to $48.25 + super up to $15,900 FBT salary packaging benefits 50% discounted training via our RTO  flexible working arrangements  career pathways and opportunities for development employee assistance program offering confidential counselling support for employees  Applying If this sounds like you, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your skills and experience and why you are the best person for this role.  If you would like more information please contact Rachel Jenkins on 0491227375 or ******
