Aspire Homes Australia is currently recruiting for Therapeutic Youth Workers in Western NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for children and young people who have experienced significant adversity. We aim to be the leading individual placement arrangement (IPA) provider in the state, through our skilled and experienced staff, home-like environments and the current development of an IPA specific therapeutic framework.

Essential criteria: Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employmentCurrent National Criminal History Check CertificateFirst Aid Certificate, preferred but not essentialA valid NSW driver's licenceRoadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicleA qualification in Social Work, Youth Work etc. or currently in the process of obtaining one, or considerable industry experienceYou will: Provide a safe and secure environment in which young people can thriveSupport young people as they transition into and out of our careSupport young people to achieve their living skills and Case Plan goalsBe an advocate for the young personHave the necessary skills to manage complex behaviours and difficult situations according to the young person's behaviour management planBe available for shift workHave strong written and oral communication skillsBe an effective team-player, with the ability to work autonomouslyUndertake ongoing training as identifiedIn return, you will: Work in a therapeutic, supportive and committed team environmentBe remunerated according to the SCHADS award; casual base, super, penalty rates for evenings and weekends, and reimbursement for work related approved travelBe provided with on-going support and supervision, training and opportunities for professional developmentPlease apply and register your interest at www.ahaemployment.com
