Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development) We are currently seeking casual Youth Workers to join our team in Rockhampton.
Our Youth Workers will support young people by providing a sense of safety, structure, acceptance, stability, and security in our Residential Care homes and in the community.
What will a typical day look like? Engage with young people to support them in all aspects of life, both in the home and wider community.Implement strategies identified in the care plan and participate in the review of care plans to ensure young people have clear, relevant, and achievable goals.Support planned contact and connectedness to family as approved by child safety services.Support social, recreational, educational, and health activities for young people in line with their individual care plan.Mandatory Requirements: Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Community Services or working toward this qualification (proof of enrolment required).Alternative qualifications or working towards: Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services or Youth WorkDiploma in Behavioural Science, Counselling, Nursing or Mental HealthAll other training is available through AnglicareCQ.
