Your Role As a Youth Worker, you will provide essential care and support to young people in our care, creating a safe, nurturing environment that encourages growth and development.
This includes:
Delivering tailored daily care and activities aligned with individual goals. Acting as a positive role model, guiding and inspiring young people. Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of activities and progress. Your ability to communicate effectively, engage compassionately, and foster culturally inclusive practices will be vital to your success.
About You Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?
Join Churches of Christ as a Youth Worker and be part of a team committed to inspiring and empowering children and young people in care. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
A Certificate IV in Child, Youth, and Family Intervention (or equivalent) or relevant experience. Demonstrated knowledge of the contemporary challenges for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. One years' experience working with children, young people and families in a child protection or community service context. Ability to engage effectively with children and young people. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Solid experience working with young people who have significant emotional and psychological support needs. A current driver's license (P2 minimum). Possess or the ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card (Working with Children) and a Licensed Care Services (LCS). Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is highly valued.
