We are recruiting for a Youth Worker to join our Dubbo team on a casual basis.
As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for monitoring family visits between children and their families.
You may also be required to provide youth work, transportation, or mentoring to children.
The shift pattern is across 7 days and will include morning shifts, afternoons/evenings, and weekends.
We are looking to run interviews for this position between 13th and 17th of January 2025.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and facilitate contact between the child or young person and the family member.Ensure the safety and well-being of the child or young person and those participating in the visit.Establish rapport with children and young people through mentoring or youth work.Provide transportation up to 4 hours.Complete report writing after each contact with a child or young person.Access rostering and shift information through email and calendar.Skills & Experience Either hold and maintain; or be actively working towards a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or other relevant qualification and obtain the qualification within the timeframes determined by the relevant training authority.Unrestricted and Current Drivers Licence.Your own comprehensively insured vehicle, child lock system, and back seat capacity.Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification.Confident in using a variety of computer systems and Outlook.Previous experience working with children and young people.Passion & commitment to improving the quality of life, skills, and independence of children and young people.Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
