About the role As a Youth Worker, you will make a positive and lasting difference to children and young people through the provision of quality care in a family setting whilst working within the parameters of the Key Assets Practice Framework.
The types of duties/activities will include: School pickup, participate in community events, sports/outdoor recreation, engage with families, taking Children and Young People to appointments, provide therapeutic supports, implement therapy goals, meet NDIS goals, and provide written contact reports.
About your attributes and experience An understanding of trauma informed therapeutic care to assist in deescalating and responding to critical incidents with the young person.
Have experience in dealing with children and young people with 'complex needs and behaviours' and the ability to therapeutically manage these behaviours.
Must have prior experience in working with vulnerable children and young people of various ages from 0 – 18 years.
