Youth Trainee, St George'S Anglican Church Battery Point

WANTED: A person passionate about connecting with teenagers and helping them grow in faith in Christ.
The four teenagers and 15 children (along with approximately 60 adults) of St George's are looking for a Youth Trainee to invest in their teens and pre-teens, sharing the gospel with them and helping them be confident disciples of Jesus. At the end of 2025, an additional four teens will graduate from the St George's Kids Church and join the youth ministry. We currently run a youth discussion group after the sermon at our 10am service. The successful applicant will invest in our teens through leading this group and personal discipleship. Our youth ministry is designed to supplement discipleship in the home, and the successful applicant will be trained and given an experience of church ministry. They will have the full support of the Minister and the church families as they seek to invest in the young people of St George's.
The St George's Youth Traineeship is an entry-level ministry opportunity which provides the opportunity for someone to explore their gifts in the service of Jesus. It is offered on a 2-year contract basis, working 8 hours per week, commencing on or around 13 January 2025.
