$43p/h + superannuation + salary sacrifice Part-time (60hrs p/fortnight) Fixed-term position About the role: We are currently seeking a part-time Youth Support Worker to join our team in Emerald.
Our Youth Support Worker will provide access and case management support to young people aged 12-21 who are at risk of disconnecting from their family or community.
What will a typical day look like?
Work from a strengths-based framework to improve the safety and wellbeing and improve outcomes for young people in the community including; Supporting access to secure accommodation.
Reducing harm - including substance abuse, risk taking, self-harm/injury and suicide.
Supporting Cultural connection.
Participate in education, training and / or employment and other activities within their community.
Connect with their family, culture and community.
Divert young people away from criminal justice systems.
Access opportunities that increase young people's ability to attain personal and aspirational goals Mandatory Requirements: Diploma qualifications in a discipline relating to the Behavioural Sciences or equivalent.
