DescriptionOur PurposeOur Purpose is to support children, young people, and their families to build skills and capacity, address the impacts of trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and develop capabilities that will enable them to be the best versions of themselves.Our VisionWe see a future where Western Australia is the safest place in the world and all children, young people, and their families feel safe to dream, to thrive, and to reach their fullest potential.About the RoleThe purpose of the Service Coordinator is to provide day-to-day leadership support to staff within crisis accommodation services and/or outreach, under the general direction of the Program Manager, Youth Services.The Service Coordinator works in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to deliver services in accordance with Parkerville's program-specific Services Model and Services Frameworks.This role is offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis.If you would be keen to join us, we are now seeking a passionate and committed professional to join our team who can:Ensure the personal well-being and physical safety of self, colleagues, and clients in the workplace and when working remotely by following all relevant Parkerville policies and procedures.Supervise a multidisciplinary team, including case workers, support workers, drug and alcohol education officers, and youth workers within the Youth Services programs.Provide staff with regular supervision, support, training, and expert leadership, ensuring they follow best practices and achieve daily outcomes.Oversee the daily operations of the Youth Services program, ensuring service delivery aligns with best practices, contract requirements, and organisational policies.Manage client intakes, case management, case planning, and safety planning, including risk assessment, incident reporting, and escalation.Take a holistic approach to client and family care, ensuring families' involvement in planning and decision-making processes.Review and audit client case management plans, safety plans, and incident reports to ensure quality and compliance.Ensure service delivery aligns with the principles within the appropriate Parkerville Service Model and Service Model Framework.Develop and maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for young people, considering their developmental and psychosocial needs.Efficiently manage time to achieve individual and team KPIs and prepare reports for the Youth Services Program Manager.The successful candidate for this role you will hold:Role Specific Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work or relevant Community Services Qualification.Mandatory Compliance:A Valid WA Drivers License.Working With Children Card or be willing to apply for one.Department of Communities Check.National Police Clearance.Proof of Working Rights.Essential Skills and Experience:Professional experience in the delivery of case management services.Experience working with young people and families within a strengths-based, trauma-informed framework.Proven understanding of trauma, homelessness, and the psychosocial, cognitive, and physiological impacts on young people.Experience in leading staff in the delivery of trauma-informed, person-centred services for young people.Understanding adolescent development, casework, crisis intervention, care planning, and collaborative outreach service delivery.Qualification or equivalent leadership experience.In-depth knowledge and experience using a range of therapeutic approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy and Attachment Theory.Professional experience in managing a residential service.Professional experience in the management of community services.Parkerville Children and Youth Care are uniquely positioned to provide the successful applicant with the following benefits.• SCHADS Schedule B Pay Point and Level – Level 5, Pay Point 1 - $49.28 per hour• Discounted Health Insurance Plans• EAP Service with Wellness resources• Salary Packaging of up to $15,900Parkerville Children and Youth Care have a zero tolerance to alcohol and drugs.It is essential that all applicants meet the above criteria and are permitted to work and remain in Australia with no limitations.We hope to hear from you by 4:00pm, Monday, 18 November 2024.
