Youth Services Caseworker (Doorways Program)

About the Opportunity This is a full-time contract opportunity until June 30, 2025.
Working 35 hours /week (Monday - Friday) and will be based in Dubbo We're looking for a passionate and experienced Caseworker to join our Doorways Program in Dubbo.
You'll make a real difference by supporting young people (16-23) who are homeless or at risk, helping them navigate crises, access essential services, and build safe, stable futures.
About you in the role Provide case management for young people who are at risk or facing homelessness. Conduct risk assessments and create tailored support plans. Engage with local community events and develop strong connections Collaborate with a supportive team through daily catchups and regular case reviews. Handle intake one day a week, sharing the responsibility across the team. Use a strength-based approach to help young people access housing, education, and other key services. About you You're passionate about empowering youth and strengthening communities, with:
Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV) with relevant work experience with young people Experience working with young people Strong understanding of homelessness, housing, and the issues affecting regional and Aboriginal communities. Ability to build rapport quickly, assess needs, and make appropriate referrals. NSW WWCC and valid driver's licence and willingness to transport young people as needed. Appropriate cultural knowledge and understanding of First Nations history, challenges and protocols is important to deliver effectively in this role.
