If you're a Year 12 graduate from 2023 or 2024 and eager to kickstart your career, the Austrade School Leaver Program is the perfect opportunity for you! Our School Leavers Program is a tailored 12-month program that will introduce you to interesting work and support your development.
You will gain access to our fantastic mentoring program, where a dedicated in-house mentor will be provided to you for the entire year, providing you with support to integrate seamlessly into our agency.

Full-time Employment: Engage in a 12-month program filled with practical, hands-on work experience. Competitive Starting Salary: $58,156, plus 15.4% superannuation. Advancement Opportunity: On successful completion of your program year, you'll advance to the APS2 level. Leave: four weeks paid leave per year as well as Christmas shutdown. You must meet Austrade general eligibility requirements to apply for the 2025 School Leavers Program which includes:

have completed a Year 12 certificate (or equivalent) in 2023 or 2024 be an Australian citizen undergo security and police checks. Prior to starting the Austrade School Leavers Program, successful candidates need to obtain and maintain an Australian national security clearance at Baseline level.
All applicants assessed as suitable for the program will be placed in a merit pool and may be considered for further roles in Austrade.
