Youth Outreach Worker - Family Support (In-Home)

Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth and Family Service Organisations across Australia.
  
Overview of the role: Support children in family-based placements with education, medical appointments, family contact, social and cultural connections, positive living skills, community inclusion and family relationships. Assist with transportation to school, appointments, community access as well as in-home support. Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills. Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse. Provide a safe, home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals. Assist with administrative requirements and household duties. Supporting children aged from 5 to 13 years old  Shift times: Shift times are based around the children attending school. Hours will be extended during school holidays. Weekday shifts: 7am to 10am & 3pm to 9pm. Weekend shifts: 7am to 3pm & 3pm to 9pm What you need: Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant  Australian driver's license First Aid Certificate with current CPR Working with Children Check (paid employee status) Have a reliable car with registration. Reliable smart phone with data Previous experience supporting children and families with complex needs. Experience supporting Youth with disabilities What we can offer you: $43.08 per hour base, plus penalties. Weekly paid  Casual position with regular consistent hours, crafted around your individual availability. Empowered by a dedicated Service Delivery Team providing you support, coaching and guidance. Bi-monthly supervisions and support. Easy-to-use rostering app which allows you to view and accept shifts, complete reports/documents and update your availability. Refer & earn incentive - $150 voucher for each successful person you refer.
