About you Our Youth Development Team is looking for a passionate and skilled person to become part of our fantastic team to deliver programs, activities, and events for young people.
We are looking for someone who will:
Be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.Enjoy working in a team, can build strong relationships, and are open to the opinions of others.Have a positive, welcoming, and engaging manner when dealing with young people, their guardians, and our community.Be able to "think outside the box" and be flexible in the delivery of services to meet our community's and young people's evolving expectations.Have the ability to work outside of office hours; usually afternoons and early evenings.What can you bring to the team? You will work as part of a team to engage, support, and supervise young people across a range of recreational, confidence-building, and leadership programs and events.
To be successful, you will have:
Progress towards or have obtained a qualification in youth work, social work, or similar discipline.Strong ability to relate to a diverse range of young people.Experience working with young people.Understanding of Aboriginal culture and experience mentoring Aboriginal youth (Desirable).Skills and experience in skate, music, art, or other specific youth sub-cultures (Desirable).Administrative and program planning skills including ability to navigate various software systems.Approved Working with Children Card / Current National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months).Current C (unrestricted) Licence.As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test.The finer details This Level 3 position attracts an hourly rate of $43.03 per hour, inclusive of 20% casual loading.
