Build vibrant parish youth programs Mentor and equip future Church leaders Collaborate in a welcoming faith community Youth Ministry Coordinator Part-Time | 10 Hours per Week | Fixed Term Location: Star of the Sea Parish, Cleveland Start Date: February 2025 About the Role Star of the Sea Parish, Cleveland, is seeking a passionate and motivated Youth Ministry Coordinator to grow and develop our youth ministry program.
This is a fixed-term part-time position (10 hours per week) running for 22 months, with a 6-month probation period.
You'll work closely with the Parish Priest, the parish community, and other Youth Coordinators across the Deanery to empower young people, foster intergenerational connections, and promote a vibrant, Christ-centered youth ministry.
Key Responsibilities: Strengthen and expand the parish youth ministry vision.
Equip and mentor young leaders for the Church.
Coordinate the monthly Deanery youth group, focusing on spiritual growth and evangelization.
Build an engaging online presence through social media.
Integrate youth ministry into the broader parish mission.
Attend key parish events and special masses.
Collaborate with the Sacramental Team.
Provide regular updates to the Parish Priest and Pastoral Council.
About You We're looking for someone who demonstrates: Strong knowledge of Catholic Church teachings and values.
Experience in Catholic youth ministry and integrating youth into parish life.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
A collaborative, team-focused approach.
Willingness to work flexible hours to attend parish functions.
Essential Requirements: QLD Blue Card and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current QLD Driver's License.
