Teaching - Secondary (Education & Training) Full time Mater Maria Catholic College, Warriewood is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Ministry Coordinator on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role will require the successful applicant to teach Religious Education for 0.4 FTE and the remaining 0.6 FTE in the Youth Ministry Coordinator capacity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Connecting young people through facilitation or contribution towards God-centred prayer and worship.Advocating for young people as valuable members of the Church, to support the marginalised in the College/community, and to empower them to advocate for others.Enabling students to connect and contribute to their Church and wider community.Encouraging students to participate in social justice initiatives and to serve others as witnesses of Christ.Promoting active involvement of students in Diocesan events, retreats and faith immersion experiences to deepen and strengthen Catholic culture.In addition to the above, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School.Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement.Demonstrated ability to lead and take initiative.Highly organised with strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to teach Religious Education (RE Accredited).Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners.Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students.Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices.Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning.Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four-year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.

New position on COVID-19 vaccinations Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022. Staff who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks when working with children at greater risk of serious illness owing to a medical condition and/or physical disability.
