Role The Youth Engagement Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality, social, emotional and recreationally based programs that engage, support, and connect young people in at Daylesford College. Our Youth Engagement Officer will be part of a dedicated wellbeing team supporting young people at Daylesford College. Responsibilities The Youth Engagement Officer will coordinate the college wellbeing activities – including wellbeing, diversity, leadership and engagement programs. These include coordinating the student leadership program, pride group, cultural days, mental and physical health days, clubs and small group activities. The Youth Engagement officer will also support the Wellbeing Team in the following areas: Information and referrals Coordinating short term programs Facilitating programs focussing on friendships and social support Advocacy Short term case management The Youth Engagement Officer will provide some case management and support to young people to seek to engage wellbeing support services, external services and programs. Primarily, the Youth Engagement Officer will be working with small groups of young people as well as being able to assist in facilitating larger group activities and development sessions.
