Am I suited to being a Youth Disability Employment Mentor with APM? This role will be working in Atherton (2 days) and Mareeba (1 day) a week and it could be a great fit for someone looking for flexibility. Commencing as 3 days a week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (22.8 HRS). The role can also develop into a full time role over time, if you wish. We welcome those from various backgrounds, including Youth Services, NDIS, Community Services and Employment Services. You are a resilient and creative problem solver and love working in a collaborative environment where you can make an impact and genuinely help young people with disabilities on their path to employment. The role APM Futures delivers highly individualised employment supports to NDIS Participants. You will be motivating, mentoring and supporting personal growth, helping your participants to develop and establish their vocational identity, tailoring their supports to their individual requirements. Provide support and mentorship to participants that encourages skills development and increases their capacity for work Deliver person centred supports to participants transitioning for school to work Provide on-site support once employment has commenced and assist with integration Travel as required for service delivery and support of participants To be considered, you will have...
