Full Time 1 Year Fixed Term Contract Level 1 - $39,164 – $50,096 per annum Are you a candidate who is: Keen to learn and a great communicator Genuinely passionate about the local community A 2024 school graduate heading into their GAP year Wanting to work full time whilst achieving a qualification Ready to commit to a Youth Development Traineeship for 12 months With support from Rio Tinto, the City of Busselton are offering an exciting opportunity for a 2024 school graduate to join the Youth Services team in a full time (38 hours per week) 12 month fixed term traineeship, commencing on 11th of February 2025.
Reporting to the Youth Development Supervisor, this role will assist the Youth Development team with administrative and operational activities such as; creating social media content, organising events and activities, working with our local youth, and providing administrative support to the Supervisor.
In addition, you will complete an approved qualification of a Certificate II or higher, in either Community Services, Events, Business, or another relevant certification that ties in with the work you will be completing with the Youth Services team.
To be considered for this role you must reside within the City of Busselton.
In addition, you will have the following: Great organisational skills Ability to complete a wide range of administrative tasks Willingness to undertake job training and study Experience with community groups such as clubs, sports or volunteering groups Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels An interest in organising and promoting activities and events Sound computing skills including the use of Microsoft Office and social media platforms Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required The successful applicant must also hold: Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence Working with Children Check  (or the ability to obtain one) Current National Police Clearance (or the ability to obtain one when 18 yrs old) Successful completion of Western Australian Certification of Education; or equivalent Certificate i.e.
Tafe Certificate II or III.
