Youth AOD & Family Practice Lead (Internal Applicants only)Applications close by COB on 1st October 2024Generous Salary Packaging5 weeks Annual LeaveFixed Term until 30th June 2026Part Time (53.2 Hours per fortnight)Remuneration SCHCADS level 7 dependent on qualifications and experience + 11.5% Employer superannuationAbout the position The highly specialist Youth AOD and Family & Practice lead will provide services to young people and their families, within an integrated and diverse environment.
The role will develop, deliver, and continuously review an innovative, clinically informed, evidence-based approach tailored to address the drivers of problematic youth AOD use; identifying unmet needs, responding to complex care issues, and navigating systems and advocating to remove structural barriers to optimal youth health.
The role will provide direct client work focusing on providing an enhanced therapeutic response to young people that includes family members and caregivers, complex care coordination, and using an integrative, trauma informed, eco-systemic, resilience-oriented model of care.
The family practice lead will work closely with the Bendigo Manager and outreach workers to deliver services in line with best practice and the YSAS model of care, monitoring contract deliverables and developing service delivery which is responsive to community need.
The Youth AOD and Family & Practice Lead position will also be responsible to perform other supervision and practice development duties within YSAS as negotiated with the manager.
Some of your key responsibilities will be Lead case reviews and provide appropriate guidance regarding therapeutic approaches.Provide evidence informed AOD treatment and collaborative care to young people and families, using brief interventions, care planning, AOD counselling, harm reduction, community engagement and trauma responsive frameworks.
Facilitation of capability building for Practitioners from the service and from partner organisations in the sector, with particular focus on whole of family work.Provide customised Youth AOD - Family Specialist Secondary Consultation to professionals and care teams from partner organisations, key stakeholders, and internal YSAS teams.Contribute to Operational Planning to assist in achieving individual, team and organisational program outcomes, targets and KPIs as per contractual agreements with funders.Use community development approaches (social justice, equality and mutual respect) to increase self-efficacy and empowerment of diverse communities.Adhere to all YSAS' policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, EEO policy.Please Note: Service delivery aspects of the role may be modified in order to comply with Victorian Government COVID-19 guidelines.As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History check and have a current Working with Children Check.You must have Australian work rights to apply for this position.Further Enquiries For a confidential discussion about the position, please contact Meagan Mathieson, Regional Manager NW AOD, on regarding Youth AOD & Family Practice Lead role – Recruitment Ref.
