Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional to join our team in our Surfers Paradise office as an Intermediate Tax Accountant. About the Role As a key member of our Accounting team, you will deliver high-quality tax and accounting services to our diverse client base. This role is ideal for a motivated intermediate accountant looking to advance their career in a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for various entity types. Build and maintain strong client relationships alongside the Business Services Manager. Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies as required. Mentor and review the work of junior accounting team members. Assist with tax planning and advisory services. Monitor client management reports to identify and address business improvement opportunities. About You You are a high-performing accounting professional with a strong academic background and a passion for excellence. You thrive in a team environment and are eager to continue to grow and expand your skills.
Key Criteria A minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience in Taxation and Business Services. A bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce majoring in Accounting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Actively working towards or completed CA or CPA qualifications. Proficiency in Xero; experience with MYOB is a bonus. SMSF experience is advantageous but not essential. A growth mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
