The YNLHN Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) commenced in the region in 2019 and was one of the first MGP models in Regional South Australia.
The YNLHN is an all-risk MGP model delivering Midwifery care in Hospitals with a level 3 capability.
Midwives in the YNLHN work within the ACM consultation and referral guidelines and lead maternity care collegially with GP Obstetricians and Obstetric Specialists.
As a recipient of the 2020/21 SA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards for 'Excellence in Person Centred Care' and the First Regional LHN to receive BFHI accreditation in 2021, the Y&N Network provides progressive and innovative care to the women who engage in the MGP program.
