Breaking the Cycle Program - Join Our Team! Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC) and YFS are partnering to deliver the Breaking the Cycle program, an innovative early intervention service supporting young men aged 12-18 in Ipswich and Logan who have experienced and are at risk of using family violence. Together, DVAC and YFS combine expertise in domestic and family violence services, offering therapeutic, person-centred support to foster healing and promote healthy relationships. We're looking for dedicated professionals to join this transformative program and make a lasting impact.
As the Young Men's Specialist, you will deliver comprehensive therapeutic interventions and case management to help young men at risk of, or currently exhibiting, violent behaviours.

Role type: Permanent, Full-time
Pay range: $97,689 - $102,114 a year based on experience, with salary sacrificing exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available, along with the potential of a 9-day fortnight.
We are an energetic, dedicated, and supportive team working to end gender-based violence.
In this job, you'll Provide a 6–12-month trauma-informed, attachment-based counselling and support service for adolescent boys aged 12–18, who have been impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence. Conduct comprehensive phone and face-to-face risk assessments, safety planning, crisis support, advocacy, and information-sharing. Offer referrals to additional services and assist clients in navigating service systems. Deliver services both onsite and via outreach to effectively meet participant needs. Participate in case coordination and case management for clients. Perform ongoing risk assessments, safety action planning, and maintain relevant information sharing with young men and key stakeholders. About you Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from YFS , ideally you will bring the following:
Experience in person-centred case management. Knowledge of or ability to learn the Domestic & Family Violence Protection Act 2012, including relevant court and legislative processes. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse individuals, including young people, families, educators, and community professionals.
