The role The Yardsman / Forklift Operator is an integral member of the yard team and is responsible for the safe and efficient movement and dispatch of masonry products.

Based at our Townsville site, this full-time permanent role will require flexibility to work varying start times to cover the current yard operational hours of 5.00am to 4.00pm.
There is also the possibility of Saturday shifts as and when required.

Responsibilities Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintainedFollow correct work procedures at all timesOperation of forklifts for the movement of goods to/from the work areaQuality Assurance and packaging of outgoing goodsEnsure yard and inventory is maintained in a neat and orderly fashionParticipate in periodical stock take activitiesFollow established procedures for documenting and/or reporting work performed, hazards, and incidentsGeneral labouring, housekeeping and cleaning dutiesLoad and unload trucks safely and accuratelyMove palletised masonry products within the factory and yardComplete basic documentation associated with the dispatch of ordersWhat you will need to succeed Training and experience in forklift operationSelf-motivation and a willingness to learnAbility to communicate confidently with various staffCommitment to ensuring safety, health and environment standards are maintainedUnderstanding and use of appropriate manual handling techniquesOur business Adbri Masonry is Australia's leading concrete products manufacturer supplying quality concrete bricks, blocks, pavers, retaining walls, erosion control products and architectural masonry solutions.
