About The Position Select Plant Hire is currently looking for an experienced Yardperson/Storeperson to coordinate material goods and perform a diverse range of functions within the Depot. The position will be predominantly based at our Depot in Laverton, Victoria, and you may be required to complete works on-site. Therefore, we're ideally looking for someone with some flexibility on location.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate and track materials dispatched and received, including stock maintenance. Accurately input data into systems and complete paperwork accurately. Liaise with site personnel including the plant and procurement team in relation to goods and materials required. Wash equipment and maintain depot and warehouse organisation of the Yard and equipment. Move equipment within the yard using lifting aids and self-propelled equipment. Handle deliveries and pickups on customers' construction sites. About You The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
License to operate a Forklift. Drivers License – Class C as a minimum (HR or MR is desirable). General Construction Induction Certificate – White Card. Previous construction industry experience. Knowledge of equipment, tools, and machinery. Willingness to obtain industry licenses to operate machinery with prior understanding of construction equipment and industry an advantage.
