Yard Supervisor

Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Nighthawk Transport is a locally owned family business with depots in Darwin, Katherine and Nhulunbuy. We do weekly runs to numerous remote communities and also do a daily (overnight) service between Katherine - Darwin and return. We are seeking an experienced yard supervisor for our Darwin depot: The successful candidate will require the following skills: Minimum of HC and forklift licence Minimum 3 years experience loading general freight Highly developed leadership and operational management skills with a minimum of 3 years staff management A leader and team builder Good planning and communication skills together with a can do attitude Great customer service skills and be customer focused  Key Responsibilities: Supervision of all yard staff in the Darwin yard. Allocating freight to ensure both safety compliance and maximise vehicle utilisation Co-ordinate work with customers to provide quality service outcomes Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities  The successful candidate must be able to operate at management level, identifying priorities whilst still being able to operate at a hands on level on a day to day basis, this is not an office based job..
